Job Summary

Railtown Café & Catering is looking for a hardworking and reliable Pastry Cook to join our team You will work alongside talented chefs and staff to foster a fun and friendly environment for our customers.

This is a great opportunity to join a growing company to display your passion and creativity for desserts and pastries. It is early morning shift 4am - 12:30pm Monday to Friday morning position with occasional flexibility when required.

Duties

  • Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes.
  • Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair, ensuring visual appeal.
  • Package finished products for display or delivery, maintaining quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure timely production and service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
  • Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.

Experience

  • Proven experience in a pastry or baking role within the food industry is essential.
  • Strong culinary skills with knowledge of food preparation techniques and baking methods.
  • Must be highly motivated with great organizational skills
  • Experience in cake decorating is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations.
  • Previous experience in catering or restaurant environments is a plus.

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
