About the Role:

We are actively seeking an experienced and dynamic Construction Project Manager to join our team in the vibrant Lower Mainland of British Columbia (head office located in Surrey). Responsibilities:

  • Core responsibility of the Construction Project Manager is to deliver projects on time, and on budget.
  • Manage and resolve any issues with project while considering associated cost and best course of action
  • Prepare Project Budgets and forecasted total project costs
  • Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish
  • Oversee Site Superintendents, trades, consultants and site team
  • Ensure high quality standards and limit post construction warranty deficiencies
  • Ensure cost effective implementation of the step code
  • Recruit, hire and supervise staff as needed
  • Find and source cost effective trades and suppliers while still maintaining high quality standards
  • Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts. Ensure that all items are covered by scope within contract.
  • Monitor progress and ensure a high standard of accuracy and quality with projects
  • Accountable for managing multiple facets of the project, simultaneously, and of varying scope
  • Approving invoices and working with the accounting department
  • Schedule the project with contractors, consultants, suppliers, vendors, and service providers to ensure project milestones agree with company expectations.
  • Consistent follow up with contractors, consultants, vendors, and service providers on all project related action items
  • Provide feedback and support on project drawing during the development application and building permit submission phase.
  • Support other teams in cost benefit analysis of construction approach, use of materials, ballpark cost, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned

Benefits

  • Competitive salary based on experience. The estimated salary range is $100,000 - $200,000. The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual, qualification, experience and work location.

About You:

  • 5+ years of experience in the construction industry as a Construction Project Manager
  • Experience with wood frame development
  • Creative problem solver & cost conscious
  • Strong and fast decision maker
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to read blueprints and drawings.
  • Competent with Outlook, Excel, Word
  • Leadership experience

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $100,000.00-$200,000.00 per year
