Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance, and diagnostics, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role involves performing repairs, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring vehicles are maintained to the highest standards.

Duties

  • Diagnose and repair a variety of automotive issues using hand tools, power tools, and schematics
  • Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake replacements, and tire rotations
  • Conduct complex repairs including engine work, transmission repairs, and electrical diagnostics
  • Follow safety protocols during all repair procedures, including heavy lifting and the use of heavy-duty equipment
  • Maintain detailed service records and fleet maintenance
  • Inspect vehicle engines, mechanical and electrical
  • Do service call outs as required

Skills

  • Proven experience in automotive repair, preferably with 3+ year's experience (Red Seal would be preferred)
  • Strong mechanical knowledge of various vehicle systems and components
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals accurately
  • Experience with automotive assembly and maintenance procedures
  • Capable of heavy lifting and working on vehicles in various positions for extended periods
  • Excellent customer service skills to explain repairs clearly and professionally
  • Knowledge of safety standards related to automotive repair work
  • Previous mechanic experience with a focus on quality workmanship and attention to detail
