Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Automotive Technician to join our dynamic team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to kick-start their career in the automotive industry. As an Apprentice, you will work under the guidance of experienced technicians, gaining hands-on experience in automotive repair and maintenance while developing your skills in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in performing routine maintenance and repairs on various vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake services.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
  • Help diagnose vehicle issues by observing and reporting symptoms to senior technicians.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Support customer service efforts by communicating effectively with clients regarding vehicle status and repair needs.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance mechanical knowledge and skills related to automotive repair.
  • Engage in heavy lifting as required for various automotive tasks.

Skills

  • Basic mechanical knowledge with a keen interest in automotive repair.
  • Familiarity with hand tools and power tools commonly used in the automotive industry.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed during repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Strong customer service skills to interact positively with clients.
  • Experience or willingness to learn welding techniques is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a dealership setting is advantageous but not required.
  • A proactive attitude towards learning and development within the automotive field.
