Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in various kitchen tasks, ensuring that our food preparation and service operations run smoothly. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment while supporting our cooks and chefs in delivering high-quality meals.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with meal preparation by chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients, and assembling dishes as directed by the cooking staff.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
  • Follow food safety guidelines to ensure that all food handling practices meet health regulations.
  • Help with inventory management by restocking supplies and notifying management of low stock levels.
  • Support cooks during peak service times by preparing items needed for menu items efficiently.
  • Participate in cleaning duties at the end of shifts to ensure the kitchen is ready for the next day's operations.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is recommended
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
  • Willingness to learn new skills related to meal preparation and cooking techniques.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour
