About The Role
As a
Senior Civil Engineer
, you will support of civil / structural design activities which include evaluation of multiple structural systems including steel members, reinforced concrete, and composite steel.You will report to the Manager, BOP Structures & Architectural Design and be located at Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. You have a hybrid work arrangement of 2 to 3 days per week in the office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Address & resolve technical issues related to design of building structures.
  • Address technical issues related to the fabrication, assembly, and construction phases of a civil/structural project.
  • This includes technical justification of design changes and requires troubleshooting of emergent technical issues.
  • On-Site support at multiple utilities, sites and smaller projects.Use analytical tools such as ANSYS, LS-DYNA, GTSTRUDLAid in maintenance of software compliance records and closure of engineering corrective actions
  • Become familiar with applicable industry civil/structural codes and (such as ACI, AISC, ASCE, AWS) standards and company procedures.Develop engineering sketches and markups using AutoCAD or similar CAD programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Civil/Structural Engineering
  • At least 5 years of experience required.
  • Prior experience in civil/structural evaluations is required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification or plan to obtain PE is preferred.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $86,800 to $108,500 per year.
