JP Laboratories is hiring the following full time position in Mississauga facility:
HPLC Chemist
- The primary purpose of this position is to analyze samples using HPLC methodologies and to review data for release to clients. Assistance with maintenance of instruments and in the development of
- new methods or modifications to procedures will also be required.
- Qualification: Minimum bachelor's degree in chemistry.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years in GMP Testing Lab
- Excellent working knowledge with ChemStation software
Responsibilities:
- Analyze, interpretation and data review of residual solvents, assay, volatile compounds, pesticides, PCBs following different methodologies.
- Operation, maintenance and troubleshooting ofHPLCs with various detectors.
- Developing or adapting procedures.
- Document activities and report results in a concise and accurate manner.
- Evaluate, approve, and analyze the results of QC samples.
- Identify and report quality problems to the supervisor of QA department.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Possess a general knowledge of chemistry fundamentals; ability to understand terminology and principles to comply with analytical methods.
- Possess strong computer skills with knowledge in Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Multi-tasked, organized, detail oriented, and possess excellent problem-solving capabilities; will have good time management capabilities and be able to work independently of supervision.
- Ability to take ownership for meeting goals and objectives; willing to be accountable for own decisions, and willing to give 100%.
- Proficient English verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate well with staff, management, and clients in a professional manner.
- Working in a very fast paced environment by performing analytical testing for assigned products with standard time and under minimum supervision
- Have working knowledge of OOS, CAPA, deviations and incidents investigations and able to assist manager in investigations as required.
