  • Prefer Candidates which graduated from an Electrical Technics course such offered at St Clair college or similar
  • Must have Steel Toed shoes and Safety Glasses
  • Must speak and write in English
  • Must have a valid G Drivers License and have a clean driving record

Typical working Hours when on Reg Time:

  • Mon-Fri 7am to 3:30pm

Typical working Hours when on OT:

  • Mon-Thurs 7am-5pm
  • Fri: 7am-3:30pm
  • Sat: 7am -12noon

Summary

As an Electrical Controls Designer, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing control systems for automated machines. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, your role will require expertise in schematics, drafting, and CAD, with a strong emphasis on AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications. You will leverage your skills in programmable logic controllers and electrical engineering to design efficient systems. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and utilize tools like Bluebeam and NavisWorks will be essential in delivering high-quality projects that meet organizational standards and client expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical control systems for automated machines using AutoCAD and other CAD software.
  • Create detailed schematics and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate system design.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate programmable logic controllers into designs.
  • Review and revise designs based on project requirements and feedback.
  • Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Utilize Microsoft Word and Excel for project reporting and communication.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
