Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and issue purchase orders for production and MRO items ensuring alignment with company requirements and market conditions
  • Manage order confirmations, expedite deliveries, and resolve supply issues
  • Proactively communicate vendor or material issues that may impact manufacturing timelines or delivery commitments
  • Communicate/coordinate with the team to ensure timely sourcing and launch of new programs
  • Coordinate the resolution of non-conforming material issues, including supplier follow-ups, returns, RMA processing, and tracking of credits or replacements
  • Support inventory/production planning by maintaining appropriate stock levels
  • Lead cost reduction initiatives through benchmarking, re-sourcing, and negotiation of pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required

Qualifications and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • ERP system experience is an asset
  • Minimum 3 years experience in purchasing in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong vendor relationship management skills, with experience in negotiating contracts and managing international suppliers.
  • Well-developed communication and analytical skills (Excel), with the ability to interpret market trends and supplier data.
  • High level of planning, organizational, and implementation skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and conflicting deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
