Paid Search Coordinator

The expectations of the role of Search Coordinator is to support the Search Specialists, building their knowledge of search strategy, execution and reporting. They should work collaboratively and with curiosity to help deliver on the success of our clients' business, effectively contributing to the overall success of the agency and their own development.
Build a Strategic mindset and understanding of SEM execution.
· Work towards being seen as a subject matter expert in search marketing for our clients, responsible for strategy and best-practices to drive improved performance, supporting all marketing and digital channel efforts to ensure a consistent approach to winning in paid search
· Learn to evaluate current SEM account set ups, developing new strategies to increase performance and proactively presenting those to internal planning teams and clients as required
· Attend client status and reporting meetings; build knowledge of client business challenges and potential solutions to drive impactful results within search engines
· Execute daily, weekly and monthly optimizations including evaluation of ad copy, ad formats and ad groups as well as implementing negative keyword and bidding strategy optimizations
· Regular analyses of google analytics and landing pages to determine impact on overall search results and web traffic
· Develop new keywords to support new products, services, or site content as necessary
· Build an ability to inform site tagging strategy, and work toward being able to successfully manage cost per acquisition campaigns
· Provide accurate and timely reporting to our clients. Working with your manager to develop insights, benchmarks and recommendations on next steps
· Write search ad copy as required for clients
Build a skill set for Successful Measurement and Tracking:
· Work with clients and planners to understand requirements and how to execute and implement the appropriate tracking in various platforms as needed
· Work with Google Analytics, Adobe Ad Cloud, or other search support teams to help set up goals and conversions on behalf of clients
· Work with the SEM Team to assess performance based on conversion metrics and KPIs and propose optimizations to improve upon efficiency, profitability, lead-gen, etc.
Learn to perform SEO audits and generate an implementation plan, including
· Understand and perform abasic audit of client's current SEO and craft recommendations to optimize
· Work towards a strong understanding of SEO keyword landscape and relationship between content and relevance
· Work with Manager and/or client on the implementation of SEO strategies and tactics
Strong Communication, project management and process adherence.
· Maintain trusted and strong business relationships with your Director, Manager, and team members through professional, thorough, thoughtful, and timely communication.
· Actively listening to and understanding different points of view
· Establishing deadlines, communicating the workback schedule and following up with team members to meet deadlines
· Multitasking across various accounts and developing the ability to think about search implications for a variety of clients and businesses
· Work with your manager to prioritize asks when dealing with multiple deliverables and deadlines
· Adherence to budgets input by planning teams into Prisma, including pacing management to ensure spend is accurate to plan.
· Reconcile monthly search invoices matching to order numbers in a timely fashion at the beginning of every month
Gain proficiency in multiple platforms
· Build a strong understanding of Google Ads, Bing, SA360, Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, SEMRush, ChatGPT, Reporting dashboards, ClickUp, Prisma, retail media, etc.
· Ability to work with large data sets and develop micro and macro analyses
· Build a deep familiarity with pixels, their implementation, validating performance to ensure they are working correctly
Continuous Learning and Curiosity
· Work with your manager to contribute to POV's and collaborate with both internal and external partners to drive adoption of new SEM platform opportunities and industry best practices paying special attention to innovations with respect to targeting/personalization, audiences, measurement and optimization capabilities
· Learn to understand and recommend Testand learn opportunities for new search tactics and bidding strategies
· Maintain and build a well-rounded technical skill set to help guide clients, mentor internal team, and make recommendations on the evolution of the Search Industry and Practice.
Experience required
· University or College degree in marketing, advertising or a related field
· Some experience in SEM
· A deep knowledge of the Canadian Media ecosystem
· Deep understanding of Google and Microsoft Search with a proven track road of generating successful client outcomes.
· Advanced level MS office skills in Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc
· Strong communication skills. Including the ability to explain technical topics in a digestible way.
· Ability to turn data points into actionable insights.
· Critical thinking to be able to develop insights, hypothesis and problem solve.
· A natural sense of curiosity and ambition
Salary Range: $45,000 – $55,000 / year
