THE ROLE: ASSOCIATE LAWYER (EMPLOYMENT LITIGATION)
- Location: 100% Remote (Must reside in Ontario or Atlantic Canada)
- Type: Full-time, Permanent
- Practice Area: Plaintiff-side Employment Law Only
FORGET EVERYTHING YOU HATE ABOUT PRIVATE PRACTICE
At Resolute Employment & Disability Lawyers, we have removed the things that burn lawyers out:
- No Billable Hours: We don't sell time. We sell solutions. You will never have to track a 0.1 again.
- Performance-Based Pay: You earn a base salary plus a significant bonus based directly on the revenue you generate.
- No Commute: We are a 100% remote firm. As long as you are in Ontario or Atlantic Canada, your office is wherever you say it is.
WHO WE ARE
Resolute Legal is a national law firm built on a singular mission: to level the playing field for everyday people against powerful institutions. We exclusively represent individuals—never employers or insurance companies. We are the firm for the underdog.
THE OPPORTUNITY: WE HIRE FOR ATTITUDE AND TRAIN FOR SKILL
We are seeking a Lawyer to join our litigation team.
- 100% Plaintiff-Side: Your focus will be exclusively on Wrongful Dismissal, Constructive Dismissal, and Human Rights.
- No "Rainmaking" Required: You do not need to bring a book of business. You will assume a full, active caseload on Day 1 provided by our marketing team.
- Mentorship: Don't have employment law experience? We can teach you the law. We are looking for the right "hunter" mindset and a passion for advocacy.
COMPENSATION: HOW YOU EARN $100K - $140K+
We list a Total Compensation range of $100,000 - $140,000+ because our model is designed for high performers to significantly out-earn their base salary.
- The Base ($65,000 - $85,000): We provide a competitive base salary range commensurate with your experience to ensure financial security.
- The Bonus (Profit Share): Unlike discretionary bonuses, our system is transparent. You earn a significant share of the revenue you generate above your annual target.
- The Logic: We cover all marketing, intake, and overhead costs. Your bonus is pure income.
- Realistic Earnings: A lawyer running a full caseload efficiently should expect their total annual compensation (Base + Bonus) to fall between $100,000 and $140,000. There is no cap on your earning potential.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bar Admission: Must be a member in good standing (or eligible for immediate call) of the Law Society of Ontario, Nova Scotia, or New Brunswick.
- Location: Must reside in Ontario or Atlantic Canada.
- Experience: 1-5 years of litigation experience preferred (Employment law experience is a bonus, but not required).
- Tech-Savvy: Must be comfortable using cloud-based practice management software and video conferencing daily.
IDEALLY, YOU ARE: A lawyer who feels out of place in a traditional firm. Maybe you are tired of the Bay Street grind, insurance defense, or management-side politics. If you have the drive to fight for the "little guy," we have the platform for you to succeed.
TO APPLY Please apply directly through Indeed with your resume and a brief cover letter explaining why you want to represent plaintiffs.
