We provide high-quality mentorship in Family Law, along with a steady supply of clients, and helpful administrative and accounting support to make your tasks smoother, including clerical assistance.

Description:

Our Family Law litigation counsels primarily advocate for clients in court on intricate family issues such as divorce, child custody, child& spousal support, property division, and domestic violence. They provide legal counsel, perform comprehensive research, draft legal documents, negotiate settlements, and represent clients during court hearings and trials, ensuring they remain informed about pertinent family law statutes and case precedents.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills: Ability to evaluate complex legal issues and develop effective strategies
• Excellent communication skills: Clear and persuasive verbal and written communication to effectively interact with clients and opposing counsel
• Negotiation skills: Ability to negotiate favorable settlements for clients
• Detail-oriented: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in legal documents and case management
• Time management skills: Ability to effectively manage multiple cases and meet deadlines
• Empathy and compassion: Understanding the emotional complexities involved in family law cases

This position is open to newly called as well as experienced lawyers.

Essential Requirements:

• LSO Membership;
• LAO Family Law membership;
• Ability to occasionally attend in-person court appearances in the Hamilton & Niagara Falls area courts.
