What you'll be doing

As a member of CIBC's team, the Senior Analyst, IT Quality Assurance is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through rigorous testing processes. This role involves designing, implementing, and executing test strategies for both manual and automated testing, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing expert guidance on quality assurance best practices. Lead automation testing initiatives, selecting appropriate tools and frameworks, and developing automated test scripts to improve efficiency and coverage. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project managers to understand requirements and ensure testability of application features.

You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you'll succeed

  • Execute Testing Activities-Analyze, define, and translate business and functional requirements, use cases, designs, and specifications into testing requirements. Manage and coordinate end to end testing activities for small and large projects across many teams with both onsite and offshore resources.
  • Collaboration-Work with test leads, business, business analysts and development teams to establish test plans, standards, and procedures that add value to software project and satisfy the constraints of the project by reviewing project documentation.
  • Monitor and Reporting- Monitor project adherence to quality standards and track/provide progress testing status reporting as needed. Adhere to CIBC's processes through all phases of the software development life cycle-ensure test activities are compliant to test standards. Recognizing, anticipating, and resolving testing activities challenges during the testing life cycle.

Who you are

  • You can demonstrate 2-5 years of experience. In both manual and automated testing, with a proven track record of leading automation testing initiatives. Strong expertise in automation tools and frameworks such as ConformIQ, Robot Framework, Selenium, and SOA Test. Proficiency in Java, Python, VBScript, and SQL. Experience with Jira, API testing, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipeline integration. Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
