Role Summary:

As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in
Operational Readiness
, you will play a pivotal role in preparing complex industrial facilities for safe, efficient, and sustainable operation. You will support our clients through all phases of the readiness process—from strategy and planning to execution and handover—ensuring that people, processes, and assets are aligned to meet operational objectives from day one.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the development and implementation of operational readiness strategies for large industrial and mining projects.
  • Participate in readiness assessments, risk reviews, and pre-commissioning activities.
  • Define operational requirements, roles, and interfaces between engineering, construction, and operations.
  • Develop and implement plans related to procedures, training, maintenance readiness, and spare parts management.
  • Coordinate readiness reviews and track progress against readiness gates and KPIs.
  • Support handover and commissioning teams in ensuring seamless transition to operations.
  • Provide technical mentoring and guidance to clients and internal teams.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of Systemex's methodologies and digital tools for readiness and commissioning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in operations, maintenance, commissioning, or project management within the industrial, mining, or energy sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience in operational readiness or commissioning projects.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally in complex environments.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset.
