Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting store operations, managing staff, and ensuring excellent customer service. This position offers an opportunity to develop leadership skills within a fast-paced retail environment, contributing to the overall success and growth of the store. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily activities, assisting with sales strategies, and maintaining operational standards to provide an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Support staff management through recruiting, training, and development of team members
  • Oversee merchandising, pricing strategies, and inventory management to maximize sales
  • Handle customer service issues with professionalism and effective communication skills
  • Manage POS systems, cash handling, and bookkeeping tasks accurately
  • Coordinate marketing initiatives and promotional activities to drive store traffic
  • Assist in budgeting, sales management, and achieving sales targets
  • Supervise cashiering duties and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Conduct interviews and participate in hiring processes to build a strong team
  • Lead by example in demonstrating excellent phone etiquette, organizational skills, and time management

Experience

  • Strong background in merchandising, pricing, and sales management
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with team management experience
  • Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, and basic bookkeeping
  • Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
  • Experience in recruiting, training & development, and performance coaching
  • Knowledge of marketing strategies and customer service excellence
  • Ability to manage budgets, perform administrative tasks, and handle multiple priorities effectively
  • Previous experience with negotiation, purchasing, inventory control, and retail operations is preferred

This role requires a motivated individual with strong organizational skills, leadership qualities, and a passion for retail management. Candidates should be capable of working efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.36-$34.58 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
