About the Role
We're seeking a creative, data-driven Media Strategist with a strong background in beauty and cosmetics to lead our media, influencer, and content strategy across Instagram, TikTok, and email marketing.
You will own strategy, execution, analysis, optimization, and influencer planning—using performance data and community insights to guide decisions, refine campaigns, and pivot when needed. You must be highly organized, confident on camera, comfortable presenting insights, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities (Strategy, Planning & Execution)
- Develop and execute a comprehensive media strategy across Instagram, TikTok, and email.
- Plan and manage product launches, marketing campaigns, and promotions, including timelines, messaging, and content sequencing.
- Build and maintain highly organized monthly and campaign-based content calendars.
- Design customer journeys through storytelling that build trust, education, and long-term brand loyalty.
Influencer Strategy & Community Growth
- Strategize and manage influencer campaigns, including creator selection, briefing, content direction, and performance evaluation.
- Collaborate with influencers and creators to produce authentic, on-brand content.
- Build and nurture a strong, engaged brand community across platforms.
- Foster two-way conversations that strengthen loyalty, credibility, and brand advocacy.
Content Creation & Creative Direction
- Create high-quality short-form video, reels, tutorials, educational content, lifestyle content, and campaign assets.
- Confidently appear on camera for tutorials, product education, launches, behind-the-scenes content, and brand storytelling.
- Bring fresh creative ideas and experiment with new formats, hooks, and narratives.
- Remain flexible and unafraid to pivot creative direction based on performance, trends, or business needs.
Analytics, Reporting & Optimization
- Assess and analyze social, influencer, and email performance metrics to determine what's working and what's not.
- Use data to inform strategy, optimize content, and improve engagement, reach, and conversions.
- Prepare and present performance insights and recommendations to internal teams.
- Track platform trends, algorithm changes, and competitor strategies.
Collaboration & Ownership
- Work independently with minimal direction while owning deliverables end-to-end.
- Collaborate closely with the media team.
- Maintain strong organizational systems for content planning, influencer assets, analytics, and timelines.
- Thrive under tight deadlines while maintaining consistent quality and brand voice.
- Proactively identify opportunities, test new ideas, and refine processes as the brand evolves.
Qualifications
- 2–4+ years of experience in beauty and cosmetics marketing (required).
- Proven experience in media strategy, influencer campaign planning, and community building.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into action.
- Experience presenting performance results and strategic recommendations to a team.
- Extremely organized with strong time-management and prioritization skills.
- Proven ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable and confident on camera.
- Highly creative, adaptable, and not afraid to pivot.
- Strong storytelling and brand-building skills.
- Experience planning and executing product launches and campaigns.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Deep understanding of Instagram, TikTok, influencer marketing, and email best practices, algorithms, and analytics tools.
- Lash, brow, or professional beauty industry experience is a strong asset.
