Pinewood Pilates & Movement is a warm, community-focused boutique studio offering high-quality Pilates and mindful movement instruction. We are seeking a comprehensively trained Pilates instructor on all apparatus (or currently completing comprehensive training) to join our team.

About the Role

Teach private sessions and small group equipment classes (max 4) with an emphasis on mindful, safe, and precise movement. You will be working independently in a supportive space where individualized attention and high-quality instruction are at the forefront.

Requirements

  • Comprehensive Pilates training (Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair & Barrels)

or actively completing comprehensive certification

  • 2+ years of teaching experience preferred

(most of our team has extensive experience but we are open to mentoring newer instructors who show strong potential, professionalism, and passion)

  • Strong understanding of biomechanics, alignment, and Pilates principles
  • Experience teaching private clients and small groups
  • Confident in hands-on cueing and movement observation
  • Warm, welcoming, and client-focused communication style
  • Reliable, independent, and professional — comfortable working solo in the studio
  • Genuine interest in building relationships and supporting long-term client progress

Preference for candidates trained through:

Stott Pilates / Merrithew

but instructors from other high-quality programs are encouraged to apply

Bonus Skills (Not Required)

  • Pre/postnatal training or experience
  • Background in yoga, somatics, dance, athletic training, or rehabilitation
  • Experience supporting older adults or clients with injuries
