Summary Of Responsibilities
Ensure that all corporate translations are completed on a timely basis while adhering to the company brand, messaging, visual identity and legal guidelines. Work closely with Marketing team and in particular with Brand Development Manager to ensure accurate and timely completion of all projects.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Utilizing computer-assisted translation tool memoQ to translate, revise and proof-read to ensure quality, accuracy and consistency. Verify contents of source documents and intercept errors if necessary.
  • Collaborate with other translator(s) to prioritize and complete translation projects as per timeline assigned. Maintain translation log to ensure translation requests are completed in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Work closely with Brand Development Manager to ensure translations are consistent with English documents and meet visual identity standards.
  • Verify print, digital and video proofs to ensure accuracy and uniformity. Co-ordinate with Manager and/or vendors (as required) for final French sign-off of materials.
  • Maintain and keep up-to-date the translation database and lexicon to ensure uniformity and relevancy.

Experience Requirements

  • Degree/Diploma: Bachelor's Degree
  • Program of Study: Translation
  • Years of Experience: 3 to 5 years preferred
  • Type of Experience: Translation

Skills And Abilities

  • Experience working with CAT tools (memoQ preferred).
  • Excellent writing and communication skills in English & French.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Sound knowledge of marketing, technical and financial terminology an asset.
  • Background in automotive, powersports, or leisure vehicle industry considered a strong asset.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects within tight timelines.

Expected salary range: $65,000 - $75,000/per annum
Although base salary for this position falls within the above posted range, final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.
