We are seeking a self-motivated Mechanical Assembler with a manufacturing background to join our team of manufacturing professionals.

Manufacturing/machine shop in Burnaby has a permanent position for a highly motivated and organized candidate with . This job requires Any other general shop skills are a plus. Salary commensurate to skills and experience. Full medical and extended health benefits after 3 months.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Skills in assembly of machinery and some general manufacturing duties including drilling, tapping, sanding, etc.
  • Any other general shop skills are a plus. For example, machining on a lathe and operating a milling machine.
  • Broad experience in a machine shop environment

  • Safely moving parts and materials with the use of overhead cranes

  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment
  • Comply with company safety and work policies
  • Collaborate with other team members to solve technical issues and maintain production schedule
  • Take pride in your work

Candidate Qualifications and SKills:

  • Minimum 2 years working experience in a machine shop/manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Ability to use measuring instruments and hand tools.
  • Proficient communication skills
  • Attention to detail and acceptance of responsibility and accountability.
  • Confidence and ability to work independently and as a team member to support our goals and culture.

  • Willingness to learn procedures and processes to support and maintain safety, product quality, and on-time deliver.
