Truck Zone has an opportunity for a highly motivated Shipper and Receiver - Parts Driver person to join our Nanaimo Branch location. Our new Team member would ensure that all needed parts, supplies, and equipment are at the proper location in the proper order. He or she will ensure the fast processing of incoming and outgoing inventory paperwork, to meet the needs of the work in progress. The candidate will be aware of the crucial nature of this position to other business functions that depend on the accurate and timely movement of incoming and outgoing items. The ideal candidate is someone who is committed to safety, excellence, teamwork, providing solutions and adaptability.

Role Requirements

  • Possession of valid class 5 or greater driver's license.
  • Must have a clean driver's abstract
  • Experience in the Shipping/Receiving industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of parts warehouse asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
  • Ability to work with other departments and trades to ensure their needs are met.
  • Knowledge and experience in delivering, shipping, tracking, and receiving utilizing a variety of carriers.
  • Ability to analyze, solve problems, and understand complex instructions.
  • Good organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills, clerical, word processing, and/or office skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently as a part of a team, as well as independently.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
  • Computer literacy, including working skills of e-mail and Excel
  • Attention to detail in all areas of work.
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
