The Role

We are seeking a dedicated English / Social Science Teacher to teach Grades 10–12 international students. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons, foster a positive and inclusive classroom, and support students in achieving their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach English language, literature, and/or Social Science courses (Ontario curriculum).
  • Develop and implement lesson plans, assignments, and assessments.
  • Evaluate student progress and provide feedback to students, parents, and administration.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Maintain a well-organized classroom and supportive learning environment.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Social Sciences, Education, or related field.
  • 2+ years teaching experience (preferred).
  • Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) Certification (preferred).

Assets

  • Membership in a provincial teachers' association/federation.
  • Experience supporting international and diverse learners.

Compensation & Schedule

  • Pay: $28.00–$35.00/hour + Bonus
  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday (on-site)
