Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach programming and computer science classes to students in grades [range, e.g., 3–12].
  • Deliver lessons in languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, C++, or Scratch, depending on student level.
  • Design and implement interactive coding projects, such as games, apps, or simple websites.
  • Guide students through debugging and problem-solving exercises.
  • Encourage collaboration, innovation, and perseverance through team projects and coding challenges.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain a supportive, inclusive, and positive classroom environment.
  • Stay up to date with new technologies and teaching practices in programming education.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Education, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Prior teaching or mentoring experience, especially with youth, is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, C++).
  • Excellent communication, patience, and classroom management skills.
  • Passion for technology, problem-solving, and inspiring the next generation of coders.
  • (Optional) Familiarity with platforms such as Scratch, , or Roblox Studio is a plus.

Schedule:

  • Flexible hours: weekday afternoons, evenings, or weekends.

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
