LeverageTek is actively seeking a
Data Architect
for a 4-month contract with its Ottawa-based customer.

Work Location

Toronto

Key Tasks

  • Design and deliver conceptual, logical, and physical data models for large-scale healthcare systems.
  • Collaborate with application architects, business analysts, stakeholders, and development teams to design robust data solutions.
  • Implement data governance practices and standards in architectural deliverables.
  • Support development teams in dataset release and deployment.
  • Ensure alignment with business requirements, data accuracy, and operational efficiency across multiple healthcare workflows.

Key Qualifications

  • Advanced understanding of Data architecture concepts, patterns and standards.
  • Working knowledge of relational modelling techniques.
  • Strong SQL experience with Oracle and with Open-Source SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
  • Hands-on experience with data modelling tool such as Erwin.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with data modeling tools (e.g., Erwin, UML, SPARX Enterprise Architect).
  • Experience with HQL (Hive), ETL processes, and data preparation.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and services: S3, RDS/Aurora, EC2.
  • Knowledge of architecture standards, DevOps/CI-CD, workflow design, and technical feasibility analysis.
  • Intermediate experience in Data Governance, Data Catalog, Data Engineering, and Data Preparation.
  • Strong problem-solving, verbal and written communication, and technical documentation skills.
