We are currently looking for an Etching Line Operator - afternoon shift for a 3 months contract, with the possibility of being extended, to join our team at our Toronto manufacturing plant (the closest main intersection is Victoria Park and Eglinton).

Etching Line Operator Requirements :

  • Tends the chemical Etch Line that removes metal and photoresist and etches electronic circuitry panels into metallized substrate according to processing specifications in Paradigm.
  • Places panels in etch machine or equipment.
  • Turns dials, sets timer and gauges on equipment and presses buttons on machine to activate etch cycle to etch or remove materials from panel surface, such as metal or photoresist.
  • Inspects panels using microscope to verify that panels are not over-etched and that photoresist has been removed .
  • Measures specified dimensions of panels using microscope measuring attachment.
  • Completes nonconforming and damaged materials reports as required.
  • Contacts engineering for process changes as required.
  • Verifies traveler counts before and after processing of product.
  • Sends product to next process and updates the MRP system.

Other Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience as an Etching Machine Operator in PCB Industry, or similar role
  • Ability to pass Controlled Goods Program (CGP) background check
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift 5-10lbs
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team
