Special Projects Coordinator

Purpose:
The Special Projects Coordinator role supports the Operations Manager with the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of special projects led and supported by the Office of Executive Officer. The role leads in the development, implementation, and improvement of new and existing programs that position Schulich as a leader in the broader business school ecosystem and is responsible for the design, planning and implementation of multiple programs, including liaising with external partners, sponsors, and program participants.
Education:
University degree in Business with a focus in marketing or relevant field or an equivalent of 4 years recent experience (defined as within the last five years) working at York University and performing the same or similar tasks. This education equivalency is in addition to the experiential requirements outlined below.
Experience:
Two (2) years related work experience in project management/coordination and partnership development/management required.

Effective interpretive thinking skills, including the ability to objectively analyze information and draw a rational conclusion.
Effective attention to detail, including accurate proofreading and cross-referencing skills.
Effective organizational and time management skills, including the ability to coordinate competing processes and functions independently to meet deadlines.
Ability to exercise good judgment and flexibility in an environment of continuous change and process improvement.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team in an environment of high volume and competing priorities.
Intermediate MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) skills, including demonstrated knowledge of functions/formulae, creating queries and reports.
Ability to adapt to new and emerging technologies.Knowledge:
Knowledge and familiarity with event, project management, and relational database software.
Knowledge of online/web-based content management systems and social media platforms, such as Wordpress, Mailchimp, LinkedIn, Instagram.

Programs are both domestic and international. Flexibility is required when working across time zones.
