What makes this role important at Ipsos?
Our SVPs play a critical leadership role in BHT, you will be responsible for supporting a team of seasoned researchers in driving and managing an existing revenue stream, new business development and growing existing client relationships. This is not only a research role, but a brand and advertising advisory being a thought leader in the field and having a strong presence in the marketplace. We are looking for someone who builds relationships and is comfortable operating at C-suite level.
In addition to supporting business management efforts and account strategies, the SVP will support and enable team members to design and deliver impactful and influential insights within tight deadlines and across competing priorities.
As a leader in the team, working closely with the other members of the leadership team, you will be responsible for career development and talent management, enabling team members at all levels to deliver on their full potential. The individual will take ownership and accountability for the financial performance (sales and profitability), as well as key people and client metrics for their Service Line.
What you can expect to be doing:
- Brand, Advertising, and Media Expertise: Play a key advisory and SME role within the BHT Canada team, aiding clients through strategic decision making and ensuring the next generation are developing a keen insight and expertise under your leadership.
- Focus on Revenue and Profit Management: Set and achieve realistic, but ambitious, business development revenue and profit targets for the broader team.
- Build Team Leadership: Balance the delegation of client relationship and project duties to your broader team, with the need to directly involve yourself in day-to-day activities on strategic initiatives. Oversee your team members so that projects get done well and right: on time, on budget and on strategy for the client.
- Client Development: Develop an understanding of our clients' business issues and the industries in which they operate. Maintain and strengthen client relationships through our collective team greatness. Become a trusted advisor to clients by understanding their big picture strategy and day-to-day needs.
This might be the job for you if you have:
- Minimum of 10 + years of research experience;
- Ideally at least 5 years on the supplier side would be an asset
- Strong team leadership skills with past experience in managing high performing teams
- Strong aptitude for research consulting with highly developed analytic skills and/or Brand management and advertising expertise
- Ability to think strategically about the clients' business issues and design research to address the client's questions
- Highly motivated, self-directed and possess a driven personality capable of working within tight deadlines
- Ability to develop strong relationships with clients
- Experience in managing complex programs with high operational and technological requirements
- Highly motivated, self-directed and possess a driven personality able to perform under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style and executive presence
- Superior organizational skills, including ability to manage and delegate work effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in addition to well-developed interpersonal and presentation skills
