Medical Office Assistant/Receptionist

Medical Office Receptionist/Assistant
Location: Windsor, ON
We are looking for a part time/occasional Medical Office Receptionist for a family medicine practice for approximately 4-8 hours per week (some evenings and Saturday mornings), with option for occasional coverage for vacation/sick days of other staff as well if desired.
You would be required to:
- Use a multi-line phone system to manage incoming calls, determine purpose of callers, and respond to calls appropriately
- Speak to other healthcare workers from other offices to help coordinate patient care
- Schedule and manage patient appointments
- Copy, file, fax, upload, and maintain paper and electronic records
- Assist physicians with minor medical tasks
- Light duty cleaning and organization of the office
- Any other responsibilities that may be required of the job
Desired Characteristics:
- Strong communication skills
- High standard of professionalism and confidentiality
- Ability to multitask
- Experience with EMR (Preferably PS Suites)
- Self-motivated, productive and efficient
- Previous experience as a medical office receptionist/assistant, a diploma in medical administration, and schedule flexibility would be great assets
