About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced
Underground Loader (Scoop) Operator
to join an established underground mining team at a major operation in Northern Ontario. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you'll be responsible for safe and efficient operation of loading units underground, while working alongside a skilled crew.
What You'll Do
- Safely operate large mobile equipment such as SandvikSandvik 517's517's and other machinery as required.
- Muck development headings and stockpiles (manual and remote), and safely load haul trucks with ore or waste.
- Identify unsafe conditions in underground headings.
- Muck sumps and maintain roadways as required.
- Coordinate haulage trucks and traffic within the working area to ensure safe and efficient movement.
- Maintain accurate daily plods.
What You'll Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated commitment to working safely while ensuring the safety of others.
- Underground Common Core and specialtyspecialty modules.
- Minimum 8 years'years' experience working underground in a production/development role.
- Previous experience mucking with Atlas CopcoCopco, SandvikSandvik and/or Cat loading units is an asset.
