You as a Health, Safety & Environmental Coordinator will:
- Be responsible for site specific safety orientation, job site inspections and accident/incident reports
- Monitor employees and subcontractors on site to ensure compliance to safety procedures and escalate issues to resolution
- Proactively identify and prevent hazardous situations and take necessary measures to correct them
- Organize and conduct training programs including but not limited to: WHMIS, Fall Protection, Personal Protection Equipment, CPR/First Aid
- Create, maintain, and educate all site staff on maintaining a safety first culture
- Review of subcontractors' pre-construction safety submittals
- Review and file subcontractors' weekly safety submittals
- Effectively compile weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly project health and safety statistics
Is this the right role for you?
- You have a minimum of 3-5 years' of safety construction experience (ICI)
- You have the ability to delegate and influence others to follow safety rules and regulations
- You are working towards, or are already certified under the Occupational Health & Safety Act/Regulations with experience working on a construction site
- You have the ability to delegate and influence others to follow safety rules and regulations
- You have CISD Secret clearance or are eligible to obtain it
- Position is located in Cold Lake, AB
