The Specialist, Innovation & Science Process Technology will design, develop, implement, and rigorously oversee all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Stewardship programs and procedures for the Kingston, Auburn Hills, and Troy sites. This critical role ensures regulatory compliance, safeguards employees and surrounding communities, and drives a proactive, world-class safety culture across all assigned facilities. This role serves as a key EHS resource for the Technology & Innovation (T&I) division, collaborating closely with Global and Corporate Stewardship functions.
Primary Location: Kingston (Canada) Travel Requirement: 10-25% to Auburn Hills and Troy sites (US). Must possess and maintain a valid Canadian Passport.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
EHS Leadership & Program Management
Leadership & CommunicationExcellent communication skills (oral and written) for internal and external audiences, including creating and delivering impactful presentations.Proven ability to lead tasks and teams, acting as a resource and coach for less experienced colleagues.Strong interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively and work with various disciplines, leveraging diversity within a team.Problem Solving & DriveDemonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of analyzing potential solutions for complex or unstructured problems using experience and judgment.Must be a highly innovative, self-managed starter who takes initiative, focuses on changing priorities, and aligns work with the broader business objectives.Exceptional attention to detail to scrutinize abnormalities, document results, and communicate findings effectively.
