Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Preparer to join our financial services team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate tax returns for individuals and sole proprietors, ensuring compliance with current tax laws and regulations. Responsibilities

  • Prepare federal returns for individual and sole prop clients with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Analyze financial documents and data to ensure proper reporting and compliance
  • Utilize accounting software such as Tax Cycle (training provided) and Microsoft Suite to organize financial information
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations to provide compliant advice
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery

Requirements

  • Proven experience with tax software platforms
  • Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret financial data
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple client files effectively
  • Prior experience in tax preparation or related accounting roles is preferred
  • Relevant certifications or educational background in accounting or finance is a plus

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Contract length: 12 weeks

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week

  • Tax Preparer: 3 years (preferred)
