Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Preparer to join our financial services team. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in accounting and tax preparation, who are committed to delivering accurate and timely tax filings for clients. The position offers an opportunity to work with a variety of accounting software and financial analysis tools, supporting clients through complex tax processes and financial planning.

Duties

  • Prepare individual, business, and corporate tax returns with precision and compliance to current regulations
  • Review financial documents, including income statements, balance sheets, and bank statements
  • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other bookkeeping tools to organize financial data
  • Conduct account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial records
  • Assist clients with tax planning strategies and provide analysis on financial data
  • Support auditing processes by preparing necessary documentation and reports
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of transactions
  • Perform payroll processing and assist with budgeting tasks as required
  • Maintain organized records of all tax-related documents for audit readiness

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or tax preparation roles
  • Proficiency with accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, wave and other relevant platforms
  • Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
  • Knowledge of auditing procedures and financial services regulations
  • Experience in account reconciliation, payroll processing, and accounts payable management
  • Familiarity with investment accounting and budgeting processes is a plus
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines effectively
  • Certification or degree/Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred but not required
