Your Mission In The Team
This position is responsible for leading end to end supply chain improvement projects, by utilizing expertise to develop strategies to increase efficiency, productivity and service. Some of the projects will drive fundamental changes in Metro's supply chain process for the business's long-term competitive advantages. To succeed in this position the individual must utilize fundamental business insights along with strong skills in analytics, planning, communication, leadership, and ability to build consensus within the business units impacted.
Your Responsibilities As Project Manager, Supply Chain
- Understand supply chain business operations end to end, especially how the supply chain interfaces with other departments.
- Lead and perform quantitative analysis to identify areas of operational inefficiency and propose optimized solutions.
- Act as both a tactical and strategic partner to senior leadership and process owners, ensuring standardization of processes via robust management operating systems.
- Develop and drive effective solutions to supply chain challenges, while evaluating their financial impact and business opportunity.
- Collaborate across business units to solve problems, build execution plans, and lead them to completion on time and within budget.
- Build optimization and simulation models to improve Distribution Centre efficiency, working with multiple stakeholders and leadership teams.
- Partner with Supply Chain leadership and corporate business partners to define analytics & reporting requirements.
- Develop, generate, and publish dashboards/reports; optimize existing reports, tools, database queries, and procedures to uncover continuous improvement opportunities.
- Participate in defining and implementing both short and long term logistics strategies.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
The Qualifications We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, computer science engineering, or industrial engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or related field in retail industry.
- Strong analytical, programming, and data-transformation skills; experience with Python, Power Query, and Power BI required.
- Have been directly involved or leading strategic supply chain projects.
- Experience in modeling operations research problems with quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Strong business acumen with ability to compute financial costs and benefits analysis.
- Proficient in supply chain software: WMS, TMS
- Experience with SAP is an asset.
- Advanced working knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite and database application skills are required.
- Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) or Green/Black Belt certification is an asset
- Bilingual (English/French) is an asset.
- Some travel may be required (Ontario and Quebec)
