About The Role
The Senior Technician is an experienced employee performing all sample management tasks autonomously and is responsible for:

• Conduct general activities for one or multiple Sample Management groups, sample reception, service request and disposal or shipment.
• Storage equipment organization/optimization.
• Provide support for lab tasks coordination and priorities
• Coach and train new technicians.

What You'll Do Here

• Storage equipment inventory, organization, transfers between storage equipment & optimization.
• Coach and train new technicians.
• Participate in training and process improvements.
• Support Technician I and II during complex tasks.
• Generation of Watson study material reports.
• Act as a back-up for technicians in other Sample Management Team. (inter-teams)
• Manipulation of Containment Level 2/cytotoxic study material.
• Support technicians for the completion of various forms and documentations through Sample Management groups in accordance with GDP.
• Participate in laboratory investigation
• Conduct sample disposal for complex studies.
• Planning shipment to Montreal Clinic Storage facility.
• Forms and report preparation for sample shipment to sponsor.
• Storage and maintenance of Study Material inventory
• To conduct all work in compliance with SOPs, GLPs, GCPs and observe all company guidelines and policies.
• Perform any other task as required.

Reception Team Is Responsible For

• Document in the appropriate form the accomplished task with minimum supervision
• Assist the Coaching of Technician I, Sample Management
• Be autonomous in all primary reception tasks (inventory, check-in, report generation, Watson transaction…)

Service Team Is Responsible For

• Management of complex Requests/Studies physically and in Watson LIMS.
• Discard of Analytical Samples.
• Management of Cryogenic Study Material
• Service request for Analytical, Study Samples & Biological Matrices.
• Inventory of new Analytical Material.
• Request Preparation.
• Storage & Service of Reference Standard Material.

Destruction/Shipment Team Is Responsible For

• Conduct sample disposal for complex studies.
• Planning shipment to Montreal Clinic Storage facility.
• Forms and report preparation for sample shipment to sponsor.

What You'll Need To Succeed

• Diploma of College Studies or BSc. with at least 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Knowledge of FDA-GLP, GCP and TPD regulation is an asset.
• Experience in the medical or pharmaceutical field is an asset.
• Knowledge of Watson LIMS will be an asset
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
• Knowledge in SharePoint Office 365 and PowerBI will be an asset
• Good organizational skills and interpersonal skills
• Attentive to details.
• Customer-focused.
• Good communication
• Works well within a team
• Software: MS Office, Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Watson LIMS.
