As a Personal Support Worker with WeeCare, you will do more than provide medical care according to each client's care plan. You will offer peace of mind, comfort, and become a trusted extension of the client's family.

Position

Part-time Personal Support Worker in Milton, ON every Monday 12:00-17:00 (weekly), Friday 09:00-12:00 (every second week) and Sunday 19:00-22:00 (weekly).

General Duties (specific duties may vary based on individual client needs)

  • Maintain records and required documentation
  • Assist the client with personal care, hygiene, and activities of daily living
  • Observe and report on changes in client's condition to guardian and WeeCare
  • Assist with ambulation, mobilization, transferring, and adaptive aids
  • Demonstrate understanding of client's needs and maximize abilities
  • Provide cognitive, social, emotional, and psychological support to the client/guardian
  • Respond to client/guardian concerns and ensure appropriate action is taken
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and cleanly environment, including client's equipment and belongings
  • Notify supervisor of any concerns impacting client's safety, incidents, and accidents
  • Complete all other tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • Graduate of a certified Personal Support Worker program
  • Current BLS certification
  • Vulnerable Sector Check within the past 6 months

Schedule

  • Every Monday & Sunday
  • Every second Friday
  • 12:00-17:00 (Mon), 09:00-12:00 (Fri) and 19:00-22:00 (Sun)
  • Day Shift
  • Evening shift
  • Weekend shift
  • 3 hour shift
  • 5 hour shift
