Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Service Writer to join our dealership team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers bringing their equipment in for service and repairs, ensuring seamless communication between clients and our skilled technicians. Your enthusiasm and knowledge will help drive customer satisfaction, promote additional services, and support our dealership's reputation for excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers and assist with service requests in person, by phone, and email.
  • Open, prepare, and manage work orders for agricultural, construction, and turf equipment.
  • Clearly communicate repair needs, estimates, and timelines to customers.
  • Coordinate with technicians to ensure accurate job work orders are completed.
  • Review completed work orders for accuracy, warranty compliance, and billing.
  • Review warranty work orders for accuracy according to John Deere guidelines.
  • Maintain clear communication with customers regarding repair status and delays.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
  • Receive, inspect, and document new equipment upon arrival.

Qualifications:

  • Previous service writer/advisor experience preferred (equipment or automotive, an asset), but not necessary.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Mechanical aptitude or familiarity with agricultural or construction equipment is an asset, but not necessary.
  • Computer proficiency; experience with dealership management systems is an asset, but not necessary.

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
