About us: Neighbourhood Automotive is a highly respected, woman-owned and operated automotive shop with an excellent reputation in the community. Due to our recent expansion to a second location, we are seeking an Experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our team.

Location: 1881 East Hastings St. Vancouver BC

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years in automotive service and repair.
  • Character: Honest, trustworthy, and reliable.
  • Skills: Perform thorough diagnostics and repairs on various makes and models. Conduct routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections etc. Utilize diagnostic equipment to identify issues accurately. Communicate findings and recommendations to service advisors and have the ability to explain some repairs to customers if needed. Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Tools: Must provide your own hand tools.
  • Schedule: We operate on a unique 4-day workweek—Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, 10-hour shifts.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Opening and closing duties.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Perform thorough diagnostics and repairs on various makes and models.
  • Conduct routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, vehicle checkovers, etc.
  • Utilize diagnostic equipment to identify issues accurately.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to service advisors and customers if necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Occasional opening procedures required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
