THE ROLE

We are currently seeking a Part-Time Barista to join our Root Cellar Team As a Barista, you will be responsible for contributing to a welcoming, friendly, and high-quality customer experience through exceptional service, superior beverage preparation, and upkeep of store appearance.

  • Provide enthusiastic and engaging customer service.
  • Craft specialty beverages to a high-quality standard.
  • Gain product knowledge to advise customers better.
  • Contribute to a welcoming and efficient work environment.
  • Accurately perform cash, debit, and credit transactions.
  • Adhere to all food safety and cleanliness policies and procedures.

Growing up in British Columbia, the family Root Cellar was a place in our homes where we could always find good quality, garden-grown, fresh & preserved foods. Our family-owned market operates with a local focus, always buying from as close to home as possible to provide the communities of Victoria with the same.

We are more than your average grocery store, and it is our aim for our team's experience here to be anything but average too. We're a family business, and we're selective about who joins us. What You Bring To The Table

  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Previous barista experience is preferred but not required.
  • The ability to multi-task and work effectively in a high-volume environment.
  • Cash-handling accuracy.
  • The flexibility to work a variety of shifts including Monday and Thursday from 9:20 am to 2:30 pm and Saturdays. Approximately 15 to 18 hours.
