Etobicoke Ontario, Canada JAE Consulting Inc. Full time

Our Client:

Our client is a well-established, privately held Canadian organization operating across multiple business entities in industrial, manufacturing, and diversified services sectors. The company is investing in modernizing its data and reporting capabilities, transitioning from legacy reporting tools to standardized dashboards and analytics that empower senior leadership to make faster, more informed decisions.

How You'll Impact the Organization:

The Data Analyst will be a key driver of enterprise reporting and analytics across all three companies. This role bridges Oracle data systems and business leaders, turning raw data into actionable insights. A central responsibility is the migration of Crystal Reports to Power BI, ensuring dashboards and reports are consistent, accurate, and executive-ready.

You will provide critical support to senior leadership across finance, operations, sales, and production, helping them see trends, identify risks, and make confident decisions. This role will also evolve over time to support future ERP or system transitions, contributing to the organization's broader data strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Oracle & Data Ownership

  • Serve as the primary Oracle reporting analyst across multiple companies
  • Write, maintain, and optimize SQL queries for operational, financial, and executive reporting
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across all reports and dashboards

Reporting & BI Modernization

  • Lead migration from Crystal Reports to Power BI, establishing a standardized platform
  • Build and maintain dashboards for inventory, finance, sales, production, and leadership KPIs
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders

Analysis & Stakeholder Support

  • Analyze trends, patterns, and anomalies to support business decisions
  • Partner with leadership to define metrics, KPIs, and reporting cadence
  • Support ad-hoc reporting and cross-company analytics initiatives

Systems & Future-State Support

  • Integrate data from multiple systems as needed
  • Support future ERP or database transitions and contribute to data standardization

Work Style & Collaboration

  • Manage multiple requests with structured prioritization
  • Operate independently while collaborating with IT and leadership

What You Bring:

  • 4–8+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or reporting roles
  • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle databases and SQL querying
  • Advanced Power BI experience, including dashboard design and data modeling
  • Experience migrating or modernizing legacy reporting tools (Crystal Reports preferred)
  • Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate complex data clearly to executives and non-technical stakeholders
  • Comfort managing competing priorities in a fast-paced, business-facing role

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Oracle ERP environments
  • Exposure to inventory, manufacturing, or production reporting
  • Familiarity with Crystal Reports (for migration purposes)
  • Experience working with Salesforce or other CRM data
  • Experience with Oracle APEX
  • Understanding of data governance or standardized KPI frameworks
