Overview

Collingwood Kitchen & Bath Design Centre is growing Our expansive 4,000 sq. ft. Collingwood Design Showroom showcases fine Canadian-made custom cabinetry, complemented by premium countertops, hardware, and fixtures. As Southern Georgian Bay's exclusive dealer of Ateliers Jacob, a leading Canadian cabinetry designer and manufacturer, we create custom cabinetry projects that deliver an experience like no other.

We're looking for a talented and creative Kitchen & Bath Cabinetry Designer to join our Design Sales team and help clients bring beautiful, functional spaces to life.

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Technical Skills

· Create and present custom cabinetry designs (SketchUp proficiency required)

· Interpret architectural drawings and complete accurate site measurements

· Apply strong technical knowledge of cabinetry products and manufacturing processes

· Prepare comprehensive design packages for clients and trades (sign-off documentation, installation packages, etc.)

· Ability to creatively design solutions to meet client's budget and wish list

· Develop cost estimates, markups, and margins using Excel - intermediate Excel skills required

· Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time delivery, budget alignment, and a premium client experience

· Stay up to date with design trends, styles, and innovations

Sales & Client Engagement

· Consult, design, and sell custom cabinetry to a range of clients, including homeowners, builders, and design studios

· Welcome clients to the showroom, provide guided tours, and educate them on products and services while qualifying walk-ins as potential leads

· Present design concepts and estimates with confidence and professionalism, and sell design projects by presenting effectively and persuasively.

· Prepare and deliver accurate, timely proposals, estimates, and quotations

· Demonstrate strong ability to close sales and secure client commitment

· Consistently achieve sales goals while maintaining excellent client relationships

Project & Time Management

· Oversee projects from initial concept through to final installation

· Coordinate seamlessly with suppliers, manufacturers, installers, and the in-house team

· Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

· Track and manage timelines, payment schedules, and client deliverables to ensure accuracy and efficiency

· Communicate effectively with clients and team members via phone, email, and video

· Contribute to a collaborative, creative team culture within a small, dynamic office environment—working closely with Designers, the Operations Manager, Partnerships Sales Manager, and Design Centre Manager

Position Requirements

· Accreditation in Kitchen & Bath Cabinetry Design, or equivalent training

· Minimum 5 years of proven design and sales experience in custom cabinetry

· Intermediate proficiency in SketchUp

· Demonstrated success in closing sales within the custom cabinetry design field

· Proficiency in MS Office, with intermediate Excel skills required; CRM experience an asset

· Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities

· Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment

· Personal vehicle available for site visits

· Experience in photography, graphic design, or social media is an asset

Job Details

· Type: Full-time, in-person at our Collingwood showroom

· Schedule: 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday, with one Saturday per month

· Salary: $50,000–$65,000 per year

· Experience: Minimum 5 years in custom cabinetry design

· Direct Report: Design Centre Manager

· Dress Code: Smart Casual
