Hot Tap Assistant I

Red Deer, Alberta, Canada AM Inspections Full time

Must be able to pass pre employment and pre site access drug testing

Assist in pre and post job set up

Assist the technician in all aspects of the hot tap operation

Come into the shop to complete maintenance on vehicles, equipment and basic shop maintenance

Have the ability to come in and help out with the manufacturing of hot tap fittings, and testing hot tap prototypes

Come into the shop and kit jobs

Rigging welder in and out

Prepping the pipe for the pre job inspection

Assisting with pre job welding procedure requirements which include spark test, amp check and cool down tests

Cleaning up the work site once the work has been completed after each day or each location

Bolting up valves and hot tap machines

Completing pressure tests

Completing the hot tap

Other duties as required

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour
