Job Description:

Virtusa is seeking a highly skilled AWS Data Engineer to join our dynamic team in Toronto. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in AWS services, ETL development, and Python programming, with the ability to design, build, and optimize data pipelines and modern data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL pipelines and data workflows.
  • Work extensively with AWS services such as S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, EMR, or similar.
  • Write clean, efficient, and scalable Python code for data processing and automation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and build robust solutions.
  • Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across all systems.
  • Troubleshoot pipeline issues and enhance existing data infrastructure.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud data engineering tools and services.
  • Strong proficiency in Python for data engineering tasks.
  • Solid understanding of ETL concepts, data modeling, and data warehouse principles.
  • Experience working with large datasets and distributed data-processing environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Spark, Snowflake, or Redshift is a plus.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps, and automation frameworks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $44.36-$70.00 per hour
