Senior Software Development Engineer – AWS Marketplace Join to apply for the Senior Software Development Engineer – AWS Marketplace role at Amazon Web Services (AWS). This position is part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP). Specialists own the end‑to‑end go‑to‑market strategy for their respective technology domains, providing business and technical expertise to help customers succeed. Together with partner teams, we deliver the expertise and scale needed to build innovative solutions for complex challenges. Marketplace enables software sellers to reach buyers on AWS and empowers software buyers to discover, purchase and consume software easily. Our vision is to make AWS Marketplace a one‑stop shop for buying and selling software. Key Job Responsibilities Own significant portions of the product and influence strategy by defining the next wave of product features and system architecture. Work across the full stack—from front‑end user experience to robust backend APIs and services. Solve complex distributed computing challenges. Mentor team members and serve as a role model for other engineers. Engage directly with customers (buyers and sellers) to understand needs and drive solutions. Build quality software that advances operational excellence. About the Team The AWS Marketplace Seller Services charter is to provide sellers (including Independent Software Vendors and Resellers) a world‑class experience to list, market, and sell their products globally. Through curated catalog offerings and seller data analytics, we enable sellers to manage and grow their businesses and help AWS Marketplace become their primary channel. Basic Qualifications 5+ years of professional software development experience. 5+ years programming in at least one language. 5+ years leading design or architecture of new and existing systems (design patterns, reliability, scalability). Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team leader. Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
