Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Sanctuary AI Full time
Your New Role and Team
Sanctuary, a world leader in building physical AI for general purpose robots, is looking to hire a detail-oriented Procurement Co-op / Intern to support our growing purchasing operations. As our purchasing volume increases and we prepare to transition to new procurement tools, this role will be essential in keeping our supply chain organized, efficient, and well-documented
Reporting to our Senior Buyer, you'll work closely with Senior Buyer and the Operations & Finance teams to help manage purchase orders, vendor data, and procurement workflows. You'll gain hands-on experience with end-to-end purchasing processes in a fast-paced hardware and software environment, supporting everything from day-to-day order processing to the implementation of a new procurement platform
This is a strong opportunity for a business, commerce, or supply chain student (or recent graduate) to build foundational procurement and operations experience in a cutting-edge AI and robotics company. Our Success Criteria Support the creation and tracking of purchase orders from request through receipt and invoice matching. Maintain up-to-date status of all active POs (ordered, shipped, received, invoiced). Coordinate with the receiving and inventory teams to ensure goods are checked in correctly. Assist with reconciling delivery notes, packing slips, and PO records. Communicate with suppliers to obtain quotes, confirm lead times, and clarify order details. Follow up on open orders, shipment dates, and backorders. Help document standard operating procedures (SOPs), checklists, and templates for procurement processes. Identify opportunities to streamline manual tasks (e.g., templates, pre-approved supplier lists, standard order forms). Work closely with engineering, operations, finance, and other teams to clarify requirements and timelines. Support internal training by preparing simple reference materials or FAQs for procurement-related questions. Support the procurement team in implementing and testing the NetSuite procurement module, including assisting with data migration, validating workflows, and generating custom reports. Qualifications and Experience Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Finance, or a related field. Strong academic or project-based exposure to supply chain, operations, procurement, or finance is an asset. Comfort working with spreadsheets (e.g., Excel or Google Sheets) for basic data analysis, tracking, and reporting Experience with ERP, procurement, or finance systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Coupa, Procurify, Jaggaer, etc.) is considered an asset but not required. Prior co-op, internship, or part-time experience in operations, finance, administration, or logistics is a plus. Skills High attention to detail with the ability to accurately enter, review, and reconcile data. Strong organizational and time management skills; able to manage multiple requests and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Clear written and verbal communication skills to interact with internal stakeholders and external vendors. Comfortable working with numbers, pricing, and basic calculations (e.g., taxes, totals, comparisons between quotes). Familiarity with basic procurement concepts (purchase requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, receipts, vendors, lead times) or interest in learning them quickly. Ability to follow structured processes and standard operating procedures, while also suggesting improvements when you see them. Proficiency with common productivity tools such as Google Workspace or Microsoft Office (Docs/Word, Sheets/Excel, Slides/PowerPoint). Ability to create and maintain simple tracking tools such as logs, checklists, and status reports for orders and vendors. Willingness to support change management activities related to new tools (e.g., testing new systems, documenting steps, gathering user feedback). Traits Above all else, a consistently positive attitude and a willingness to do whatever it takes to create robust solutions to complex problems. Takes ownership and accountability, fostering the same in teammates. Empathetic listener with conflict resolution capabilities. Consistent bias for action, communication, and interpersonal savvy. Self-motivated and able to solve problems independently. Mission driven and passionate about bringing human-like intelligence to machines. About Sanctuary AI Founded in 2018, Sanctuary builds humanoid robots and a novel control system for them that integrates symbolic logic and reasoning with data-driven robot foundation models. We use our robots to collect vision, audio, touch, and proprioception data from the perspective of the robot while they perform real-world work tasks. We use that data to train multimodal robot foundation models. Because our systems are vertically integrated, we can design, deploy, and refine at scale. Our mission is to create the world's first human-like intelligence in general-purpose robots
