About the Role:

. The successful candidate will ensure a seamless transition, minimize risks, and maintain compliance while improving service performance.

This role is ideal for professionals experienced in
cybersecurity vendor management, service transition governance, and IT project delivery
within complex enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership & Delivery

  • Deliver and plan
    Security Operations Center (SOC)
    services,
    threat intelligence
    ,
    incident response
    , and
    vulnerability management
    .
  • Drive execution across multiple internal and external stakeholders, including vendor teams and cybersecurity SMEs.

Vendor Management & Transition Governance

  • Oversee and track all service transition activities to ensure seamless onboarding of the new MSSP.
  • Organize transition-related documentation (technical and contractual).
  • Manage transition governance, escalations, and risk resolution.
  • Collaborate with internal IT teams, vendor PMs, and leadership to align transition priorities.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the assigned Business Analyst (BA).
  • Audit contractual deliverables and validate service levels post-transition.

Security Operations Readiness

  • Align transition activities with cybersecurity frameworks such as
    NIST
    and
    CIS
    .
  • Validate operational handover processes (runbooks, escalation workflows, incident response, and reporting).
  • Coordinate knowledge transfer and enablement for SOC analysts.

Risk, Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Partner with Cybersecurity and Compliance teams to monitor security, operational, and business continuity risks.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards.
  • Oversee service acceptance testing, operational readiness reviews, and post-transition maturity assessments.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum
5+ years of IT Project Management
    experience.
  • Proven success managing
    cybersecurity vendor transitions
    or
    outsourced service onboardings
    .
  • Experience with
    MSSP, SOC, SIEM, SOAR
    , and security event monitoring.
  • Strong understanding of
    cybersecurity frameworks
    (NIST, CIS).
  • Skilled in stakeholder and executive reporting (up to C-suite level).
  • Minimum five years of progressive IT experience with broad technical understanding.
  • Experience in Public Sector environments is a strong asset.
  • PMP certification
