Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient environment. The Dishwasher/ Kitchen Helper will assist with potential things such as food preparation, cleaning, and basic culinary tasks, contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests. Prior experience in food service, catering, or hospitality is preferred but not required. This position offers valuable hands-on experience in a fast-paced culinary setting and is ideal for individuals interested in developing their skills within the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, and setting up stations
  • Run an efficient and clean dish pit
  • Support cooking activities under supervision, including basic food handling and safety procedures as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and trash disposal
  • Help with catering events and banquet setups as needed
  • Ensure all food handling complies with health and safety regulations
  • Support the team in serving guests during meal service and special events
  • Follow proper sanitation procedures to uphold hygiene standards throughout the kitchen

Skills

  • Experience or familiarity with food preparation, bussing, and cleaning in a restaurant or hospitality setting
  • Knowledge of food handling safety protocols
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Basic cooking skills; prior culinary or hotel experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with catering or banquet service is advantageous
  • Willingness to learn new skills related to food service and hospitality operations
