Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site SOC Analyst Tier 1 role located in Toronto, ON. The SOC Analyst Tier 1 will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing security events, identifying potential threats, and escalating security incidents as needed. Day-to-day tasks include conducting initial investigations, supporting cyber threat intelligence initiatives, and collaborating with the security team to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company systems and data. Additional responsibilities include documenting findings and recommending improvements to bolster the organization's security posture.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Cyber Threat Hunting (CTH) and Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI)
  • Proficiency in Security Operations Center practices and processes
  • Strong Analytical Skills for identifying and mitigating security threats
  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity principles and best practices
  • Familiarity with security monitoring tools and incident response methodologies
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration and reporting
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or similar are a plus
