Job Summary: Report to the Sales Manager, the New/Used Salesperson is responsible for maintaining professional sales procedures and ensuring pre-assigned sales volumes.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Represent Honda Fort St John in a professional and ethical manner at all times
  • Adhere to company dress policy
  • Follow all company policies and procedures and the direction of Sales Management in the execution of the job
  • Comply with assigned shift schedules and complete a weekly and or daily recap
  • Organize and maintain an effective follow-up system, complete all forms required by Honda Fort St John for prospecting and follow-up
  • Maintain work area to established company standards and directions
  • Look after and approach all lot, floor and service traffic in a thorough, professional and polite manner
  • Demonstrate vehicle to every potential customer and accompany the customer during the test drive
  • If customer taking vehicle for unaccompanied test drive ensure correct documents completed and manager approval obtained
  • Attend and arrive on time for all sales meetings, seminars, and special events assigned by the company
  • Obtain Sales Managers consent and signature before accepting any offer or delivering any vehicle
  • Complete a proper QDC delivery form or Pre-Owned Delivery checklist and maintain customer satisfaction and CXI at least equal to national average
  • Follow the Honda Fort St John sales process
  • Complete daily follow up with unsold customers
  • Prepare a monthly forecast in conjunction with Sales Management
  • Be responsible for assigned dealer plate
  • Ensure a proper and professional turn-over for all sales clients to the business office
  • Attend all assigned training course, keep all online training current and up to date
  • Comply with all Workplace Health and Safety Policies including use of proper clothing and safe work habits
  • Introduce every client to a sales manager
  • Utilize TMS as directed by management, logging all traffic and recording customer touch points as directed
  • Constantly look for ways to improve
  • Park in designated staff parking
  • Assist in snow clearing in winter months
  • Assist in maintaining lot and vehicles on display in a tidy order
