Clinical Psychologist
to provide
in-person services within Mississauga, Ontario

psychoeducational assessments, psychological diagnoses, and providing psychotherapy services
to clients.

The Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our dynamic mental health team at Healing Roots Therapy. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

1. Providing high-quality psychotherapy services to our clients, as well as conducting comprehensive psychological assessments and psychoeducational for individuals aged 17 and up.
2. Empathetic, open-minded, encouraging and ethical supervisors who can help in the growth and learning of a team of therapists when it comes to clinical skills and ethical duties.
3. Demonstrated skills to provide evidence-based clinical management, assessment and therapy services
4. Provide in-person services
   3 days a week, 6 hour shifts (
   we balance these days with practitioners availability and office
   availability
   ).
5. Support 10-15 clients weekly with psychotherapy services//Complete 2-3 assessments

What we are looking for:

1. A
   Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical, Counselling, or School Psychology
   from an accredited program OR a
   Master's degree in Psychology
   with relevant registration.
2. A
   current license as a Registered Psychologist in Ontario
   with the
   College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO). REQUIRED
3. Autonomous practice (without supervision). PREFERED (If under supervised practice must have an external supervisor)
4. Proficiency in psychological and psychoeducational assessments, (assessments for autism, intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities, ADHD is considered an asset).
5. Training in evidence-based interventions and a strong interest in psychotherapy integration
6. Excellent case conceptualization skills
7. Strong
   written and verbal communication skills
   , with
   excellent interpersonal abilities.
8. Demonstrated
   clinical experience

   , and a dedication to
   ongoing professional development.
9. Flexibility:
   Ability to be
   flexible and responsive
   in delivering services.

The following qualities would be considered assets:

1. Knowledge of cultural diversity, with proficiency in other languages considered an asset.
2. Able to provide clinical supervision to a team of psychotherapists is an
   asset
   .

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Conduct individual psychotherapy sessions with adults, addressing issues such as depression, anxiety, stress, and relationship problems.
2. Administer and interpret psychological assessments to help diagnose mental health conditions.
3. Perform psychoeducational assessments to evaluate learning disabilities, ADHD, and other cognitive or developmental issues in adults.
4. Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and current psychological research.
5. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
6. Conduct an initial intake with the proposed client, as needed, and assist with client scheduling;
