Our Technical Account Managers play a crucial role in understanding customer needs, demonstrating the value of our software solutions, and assisting potential clients in making informed decisions about adopting Siemens Digital Industry Software's products and services.
The 9-month Origins development program for the Canadian business will not only enhance your technology and sales skills but also introduce you to the power of our Xcelerator software portfolio. This talent development program will be conducted in 2 stages. Stage 1 will be in our Milford, OH, USA office, where our greater sales support team will provide an 8-week enablement ranging from our go-to-market sales strategies to a software portfolio experience.
For Stage 2 of the enablement, the Technical Account Managers will then transfer to our eXplore LIVE Center in Chicago (MxD). During this 6-month rotation, you will learn more about our solutions and sales processes while participating in several LIVE customer experiences. Following the Origins program, you will come back to Canada where you will then engage with specific key accounts to generate, lead and execute upon consultative sales engagements with key technical and business leaders at the customer, representing Siemens Digital Industries Software solutions in a professional manner, applying your technical and selling skills to maximize revenue generation.
Job Profile/Position Overview
- Engage with Major Accounts to gather business and technical requirements, determine business needs and architect appropriate solutions within the Siemens Xcelerator software portfolio focused on Digitalization of the customers enterprise
- Work with Account Executives to develop and implement strategic plans to penetrate and expand Siemens solutions with Major Accounts and communicate these plans to and develop support from critical stake holders in the Siemens organization
- Lead technical campaigns coordinating Siemens and partnering resources to win new business including the development and delivery of presentations, demonstrations, proof of concepts, proposals, as well as conduct business, technology and status reviews
- Coordinate technical resources in the delivery of Siemens solutions to ensure successful client adoption setting the stage for future business expansion
Responsibilities/Tasks
- Establish and build a trusted advisor relationship from both a business and technical perspective with major accounts, sales executives, and technical resources
- Develop a keen understanding of the customer's specific business and technical drivers and major initiatives
- Document the customer's business structure and product lifecycle processes
- Gather and advise the customer in the definition of high-level business and technical requirements in the areas of product development, manufacturing, and support
- Provide guidance on the technical capabilities and business value of their current and proposed Siemens solutions
- Develop a strong high-level knowledge of the entire breadth of Siemens' digital enterprise product design and manufacturing portfolio
- Support account managers and pre-sales resources in defining and executing on sales opportunities
- Lead the team response to client requests for information (RFI, etc.), proposals (RFP, RFQ, etc.), demonstrations and proof of concept evaluations
- Oversee and guide the customer in the implementation of appropriate Siemens solutions
- Setup and coordinate regular client technical and management review boards
- Manage customer technical queries and coordinate the resources that respond
- Record and distribute results of client meetings and subsequent agreements
- Maintain a dashboard of all active customer opportunities with status, effort, maturity, selection criteria, business case maturity, etc.
- Document and share best practices and customer success stories across the organization
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of technical B2B sales or related experience in the technology industry
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or IT
- Authorization to get training in the US without the need for any sponsorship by the company
- Ability to relocate to the Milford/Ohio and Chicago/Illinois area for the Origins development program
- Knowledge of project management principles
- Knowledge of engineering processes for product development and manufacturing
- Knowledge in new technological advancements
- Outstanding communication skills (Written/Verbal)
- Appreciates collaborative, teamwork-based work style environment
- Hard-working and self-motivated
- Fluency in English (verbal and written) is required to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position for the following reason(s): The role requires participating in a training program in the U.S., and eventually interacting with English-speaking customers and suppliers across Canada and/or internationally. The role requires regular interactions with Siemens colleagues based outside of Quebec, nationally and internationally.
